Christmas Decorations

Landon and I have been diving into crafts lately. I've always been a crafty person, and I want to (hopefully) pass that trait on to the kiddos. This project was so stinking easy, and I had all of the supplies lying around already.

Supplies needed for Snowmen Frame:
Felt-I got a pack of assorted colors, but for the snowmen's gloves I used a tan color, for the hat I used black with a red strip, and a swirly designed piece of felt for the scarf
Cotton Balls-I have a million of those in my medicine cabinet! Fluffed them out to the three difference sizes needed
Cheapo Frame-o-I bought these $2 frames from the Dollar Store, had them lying around. I flipped the backboard over to use the black background, and Landon helped me paint the frames red and green (He was red, I was green. God forbid I so much as look at the red paint ;-)

I think we put 3 coats of paint on the frames. They were a weird gold color before. Once they fully dried I sprayed them with Modge Podge to seal it in. I used Tacky Glue to stick all the snowman parts on, Landon helped a little with that. He was so excited to see the finished product!!

The trees in the middle? I got two small cones and one large cone from JoAnn Fabrics, loaded them up with Tacky glue, and wrapped the crap out of them with yarn, adding glue in some spots to ensure it'd stay on. Hot glued some beads on, and you have three funky, cute little Christmas trees!

This was from Pinterest. Totally stole it, how could I not? The scarf is wrapping paper. Black construction paper for eyes and buttons, orange paper for the nose. I thought about making a top hat to put on top of the fridge, but passed. I am going to get the pieces laminated and put magnets on the back of each, so I can reuse them each year, and also so my ornery 1 year old will stop tearing them up! Silly girl.

Happy Crafting!
